Australia’s most famous beach, Bondi turns pink on Sunday 5th February with the kind assistance of Bondi’s legendary Bondi Rescue Lifeguards, Andrew Reid & Corey Oliver. The forecast is for a pleasant 29 degrees, so it’s looking like a good day to come and help out the McGrath Foundation in style. Deck yourself out in your best pink speedos and beach accessories, and come on down! The Bondi Rescue Lifeguards will stand out even more than normal in their Zanerobe pink boardies and McGrath Foundation sun visors. So you’ve got no pink in your wardrobe? Not a problem as you’ll be able to grab some pink zinc and other merchandise, including limited edition Zanerobe board shorts and t-shirts at the McGrath marquee in front of the Bondi Pavillion in exchange for a donation to the McGrath Foundation. The McGrath Foundation was co-founded by Jane McGrath and her cricketing husband Glenn after Jane’s diagnosis and initial recovery from breast cancer.

If you can’t make it to Bondi on Sunday (yes we appreciate that many BondiLife readers are located all around the world), make a bid on the ‘Bondi Experience’ which includes:

* A bed and breakfast package courtesy of the Swiss Grand Resort & Spa Bondi Beach (including one night’s accommodation in a Superior Ocean View King Suite, buffet breakfast for two adults and complimentary parking for one vehicle).

* A two-hour Bondi Lifeguard Experience for you and a friend with Bondi Rescue lifeguards Corey Oliver and Andrew Reid, including a tour of Bondi Beach and facilities (including the Lifeguard Tower), Jet Ski ride and/or surfing lesson.

* Two pink McGrath Foundation gift bags including two pink McGrath Foundation caps signed by Andrew and Corey.

All proceeds from this auction will go to the McGrath Foundation to help fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities right across Australia and increase breast awareness.

If you watch Bondi Rescue and have always wanted to meet the lifeguards and get an insight into their work, don’t miss out on your chance to place a bid! Funds raised from the day and the eBay auction listing will help fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses and increase breast awareness in young women.

This event is taking place due the generosity of the Waverley Council, ZANEROBE, Northern Suburbs Party Hire, Kracka Surfcraft Australia, Swiss Grand Resort & Spa and of course the Bondi Lifeguards, particularly Andrew and Corey, so make sure you not only support the MCGrath Foundation on the day, but also help out these people who have made the event possible.
